Hi there! We are "STAR" Touring And Riding - Chapter #212.
Chartered in 2001, our chapter is located in Merced County, CA. We have been dubbed the "Boiling Point" because water boils at 212 degrees -- same as our chapter's # and its passion for motorcycling!!
Although based in beautiful Merced, CA, we have members throughout the surrounding areas in the Central Valley. Our "day rides" are generally just that: ALL DAY! We often ride from 8 or 9 AM 'til sundown! And why not??

President's Message
Who is a biker? There are many different kinds of "biker". To us, a biker is a person who works the daily grind, all the while looking forward to the nice weather and the camaraderie of their fellow bikers.
As soon as the sun comes out the biker is dusting off winter and preparing to ride! Our kind of biker is the one who enjoys family and friends naturally, without the aid of alcohol or drugs. NO TAVERN RUNS!
STAR Touring & Riding is an international organization with chapters everywhere. We are always looking for good people that enjoy OUR type of biker. Come tell us about your great rides that we may not have seen yet, or learn about those we have.
In addition to all this great riding, we have events during the year to which you can bring the family, from fund raisers in parks to pool parties, bowling or movie nights. We have become a family that rides, laughs and even cries together. If this sounds like you, and you ride ANYTHING with two wheels, come check us out!

What is Star Touring & Riding?
Conceived in 1995 and founded in 1996, STAR Touring and Riding Association is an international family riding organization. As the "Official STAR Organization of Yamaha Motor Corp.," STAR is a non-political, non-confrontational association. Its main focus is on family, fun, camaraderie and RIDING. All brands of motorcycles are welcome.
Comprising over 20,000 families and over 150 chapters, STAR recognizes safety as a first priority. The STAR community is a mix of riders with varied riding experiences. Chapter rides follow the highway laws and limits, to keep everyone as safe as possible. This allows everyone to enjoy the ride and not have new riders feel overly stressed.
STAR chapter rides do not include "tavern runs", and consumption of alcoholic beverages on chapter rides is prohibited. We want to see you back safely for the next ride.
If you are looking for a family motorcycle association, with a lot of pride, spirit and camaraderie, you have found the right organization. Come ride with us and feel the spirit!!!!!
